The key areas of this role will see you providing consistent guidance with a focus on;

• SHEQ Strategy development and implementation
• HSE Risk Management
• Maintaining positive working relationships and up to date compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies
• Maintaining accurate HSE information management system, monitoring programs, and audits.
• Maintaining effective induction and training programs
• Providing leadership in relation to Nyrstar’s responsibilities to the local community
• HSE leadership, mentoring and support to the broader site leadership group
• Delivering continuous improvement initiatives including cost management and budgets

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field
• Experience successfully delivering plans in a major industrial site with Major Hazard Facility status
• Expert understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory obligations
• Senior level leadership experience
• Strong Influencing and communication skills
• Relevant business and industry knowledge
• Exposure to leading edge approaches and experience managing, leading and applying innovation and creativity to add value.
